Saving a GIF file to Word

Is it possible to edit a GIF file by saving to Word, do the edit and save
back to GIF ? (I only have Office 2002 and not anything like Photoshop)

Try using Start|All Programs| Accessories|Paint

No -- Word cannot save things as a GIF file.
But if you're on a Windows computer, you most likely have the handy little
graphics program called Paint (in Windows, click Start -> Programs ->
Accessories -> Paint): This will open, edit (e.g. add text), and save GIF
image files...
