Saving a Project 2007 plan to MS Access

Steve

Hi, is there a workaround/utility for performing the above since the option
to save to Access has been removed.

Hello Steve,

You can save the data from the reporting database through Report >
Visual Reports. In the create Report dialog click the "Save data"
button and in the Save reporting data dialog, click the Save
database button.

Note, this is only the data from the reporting db. See the Project
2007 SDK for information on working with the reporting db.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie,

What a royal PIA. I'm not anywhere near a database person. However, I use
the database exports from time to time.

Any idea why this export capability was removed?

Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

You're most welcome, Jim. Sorry it wasn't the news you wished to hear.
I honestly don't know why the ability to save as a db was removed. You
can gain access to most of the data through the reporting db, but if you
want to make changes and re-import, you'll need to use VBA hit the data
through that method.

Happy New Year!
Julie
