Saving a report to a file

Dear readers,

I have MS-Project 2000. I noticed that a report (custom made or
whatever other report you can select) cannot be saved to a file but
only be printed. Is it possible to save a report to a file ? If not
can somebody tells me why Microsoft has not chosen to print
information to a file. This works in Word and Excel but not in
Project.

No it is not possible to save the report to a file.
I have no idea why they do not allow this.
They have certainly heard from many customers that this is an important
feature.
You can install software to create .pdf files (adobe acrobat for example)
and then you get a non-editable copy of the report, but if you want to edit
you need to develop your own report using VBA.
