Saving a show to CD

M

Mark

I have today, for the first time, saved a PowerPoint
presentation to CD for use on a projective clients laptop
so that I could give the show without the need to set up
my projector, laptop etc etc.

It was a disaster!

All the pictures were replaced by white boxes with a red
cross in. When I use the same CD on the original machine
all is fine again!

What has caused this and how do I get over the problem in
the future when I want a CD copy of a presentation.

Bummer. How, exactly, did you get those pictures into the presentation? And,
what version of PowerPoint did you use?

I had a problem with a presentation I'm planning to email
to prospective clients. The first time I put the pix in
as "word documents" then I tried copying them as jpeg's
and it worked. Good luck!

You didn't link the images, did you?

At any rate, the RedX phenomenon is hard to pin down. There's info at
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00064.htm

You might try turning off Fast Saves as described in that link above,
resaving your presentation, and reburning the CD. Something as simple as
that may fix it.
