Saving a visio file

Olivia

Is it possible to either save or convert a visio file to
a jpeg/picture formatt? I'm trying to incorporate a
diagram I constructed in visio into word document and I'm
not sure how to do it.

Thanks!

Just drag and drop the VISIO drawing into WORD rather than converting to
formats like jpg (thus keeping quality of incorporated drwg. in your
document).

Frank:
Are you saying that you've tried converting a Visio file
to .jpg and the quality of the resulting .jpg is poor?

I've tried everything I can think of to improve the
quality of the .jpg but to no avail.

Linda,

I think Olivia just wanted to insert a VISIO drwg. into WORD.
If there is a pure VISIO drwg. (which means there are no jpgs etc. included
in that VISIO file) to be inserted into WORD, it is the best to just insert
the VISIO drwg. into WORD.

Converting VISIO to jpg and then inserting that jpg into WORD gives poor
results (zoom in when viewing the picture in WORD to see the difference
between embedded jpg and VISIO pictures).

Talking separately about VISIO-to-JPG conversion, you can improve the jpg
quality (to the debit of resulting file size) increasing the resolution in
the export filter.

You can send me a simple VISIO sample file via eMail and I return the best
possible jpg, if you want to.
