Saving a web page with a background sound.

I am having a problem publishing my website with Publisher using the ftp
server for my Comcast webspace. If I publish my website without a background
sound it is fine, but as soon as I add a .wav file as a background sound
through web properties in Publisher, I get an error that Pulisher can not
save this file to the web. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I forgot this info.
I am using Publisher2000 and when I preview the web page in Publisher, the
preview plays the sound.

Of course it will work in preview because the wav file is local to your web
pages on your PC. Your issue sounds to me like your host server is not
allowing Publisher to write that wav file to the server directory. Contact
your host support and ask if they support media files on your account and if
your server has the correct permissions on the directory to allow the
write/read/execute of such files.

I also use Publisher 2000 and have found on one of my sites that the sound
will work on some of the pages but not all. Of course I used different sounds
for each page. They did upload to the server just some won't execute. The
site I still have sounds on is at GeoCities (www.geocities.com/gordonsdog). I
generally won't put sound on my sites as I have read most people don't care
for the sound.
