saving a web page?

Saving a web page on the desktop gives the html page and separately
saves a yellow folder with all jpgs, gifs, common_scripts.js, and many
more of the page. Well deleting the yellow folder deletes also the html
page or vice versa.
Is there any other configuration to be made in IE6 so that only the web
page and nothing else (stated above) gets saved on the desktop.
Please guide.

Perhaps go to www.davidbartosik.com and read the FAQ page and section that
applies to your version of Publisher. There is also an excellent article on
publishing and uploading your site there. If you are unable to find the
answer, the repost with your version of Publisher. DavidF

Make a folder on your Desktop and save your web page to that folder. It will
create a subfolder for the other stuff, but it will all be contained in your
master folder. Also, if you don't want a sub folder in your new folder you
can uncheck the Option in Publisher for creating the 2nd folder.
Good luck!

You have posted to the wrong community for your issue hence your replies so
far are off target. You would post IE questions to the IE community not this
Publisher community. I can however share my experiences with you.
To my knowledge there is no "setting" in IE to change it's behavior in
saving a web page.
If you only want the htm file and not it's supporting folder you can change
the file name of the htm file, that will then allow you to delete the
supporting folder without it taking the htm file with it.
Now since you apparently only want the text of a web page rather then the
page in whole I would suggest a different approach, one I use myself. Simply
select all the text of the web page and type control + C keys to copy the
text and open up Notepad and type control + V keys to paste the text into
Notepad and then save the text file.
If the text is all you want that's the faster route.
