saving an Excel file as a PDF

Is there an easy way to do this? I tried launching the PDFMaker.xla and
it crashes every time. If you know of a solution -- please HELP. Thanks.

On MacOS X, you "Save as PDF" from the Print menu. Every MacOS X
program seems to offer this feature.

As was suggested by Michael Vilain, you can use OS X's built-in Print to
PDF feature instead.

You also, since you have Acrobat installed, use the Adobe PDF printer
driver. This has the advantage of making smaller files, since Apple's
version is less optimized.

You can then get rid of the pdfMaker.xla toolbars which, in addition to
being buggy, take up valuable screen real estate:
