saving an image in JPEG

I was just wondering, does anyone know how to save an
image on a Word document in JPEG format? When I used to
have a Mac (and used Appleworks since I did not then have
Word), all I had to do was click "save as", then in the
scroll-down menu called "save as type", it gave you many
options including JPEG, GIF, and other image formats, as
well as the usual text program formats. Word's "save as
type" list does not seem to include any image formats. I
have Word 2002 by the way.

If the file is embedded in Word, then save the document as HTML. There will
be an accompanying folder of resource files including the images. Open the
desired file in your preferred image editor and save it as JPEG.
