Saving as 5.1 in Word 2004

In Word 2004, is there a way to save a document as Word 5.1a?

Yes, I know I can save it as RTF. But I would like to save it as
specifically Word 5.1a.

Thanks.

Tag,

There is no option to do that, mainly because the file structure of Word 5.1
is so different from that of current structures, which originate on the
Windows planet. Word 2004 will open 5.1 files, but not save to 5.1.

For those of us who think that 5.1 almost had it right, queries like yours
produce heavy sighs of nostalgia ...

Does anyone watching know whether Dataviz's MacLink Plus has this as an
option?

sometimes you'll be asked for further information so that a better answer

gives you a blank page the first time, you may need to hit the circular

The DataViz web site indicates that the product will do the translation "to
(write) or from (read) any other format unless otherwise noted" and lists
these Macintosh Word formats: Word 4.0, 5.x, 6.0, 98, 2001, X, 2004
