Saving as HTML

T

Todd

I'm trying to create a flow diagram with hyperlinks to
network folders and to other tabs within the same Visio
file. I intend to save the file as HTML and share with
others.

I'm having quite a few problems with the hyperlinks, and
was wondering if there was any information describing how
to use them in Visio. Is there a good help document on
the web someplace?

FYI, one of my problems is difficulty pointing to folders
as opposed to files. The system seems to only allow you
to point to files, so I have to edit manually, and this
seems a little unreliable.

Thanks,
Todd

What version of Visio are you using? What are you entering for your
hyperlinks to folders? In Visio 2003, if I enter "c:\temp" in the Address
field, it works fine inside the Visio app itself, as well as on exported web
pages.

Sorry - my first time here. I'm sure I'm making a mess!

I use Visio 5.0a in a Citrix environment, and when I save as an .html
file I get a popup error message that reads:

Unable to load export filters. Please try restarting Visio. If that
fails try reinstalling the filters using Visio's setup program.

Anyone else had this problem?
Is this a recognised problem?

Many thanks!

Just off the top of my head, that sounds like you have an installation
issue. It sounds like the raster filters (which were separate components in
those days) didn't get installed correctly.
