Are you using Adobe Acrobat or some other converter? I can't replicate this with
Acrobat. Are you certain you are using black as opposed to dark grey?
What settings are you using in the PDF printer? Might want to bump it up to a
higher resolution. There will be edit options when you select press quality.
often RGB black becomes about 90% grey. check your output settings...
composite rgb or cmyk.
