Saving as .pdf

I have a WORD document that I am trying to save as a .pdf
file. It will not let me. Any ideas why I can't or how
I can get this to work?

Microsoft doesn't like Adobe's pdf as a format (cynics
would say because it's a free open source format which
they can't control) so at present your only option is to
do it through either Adobe's full strength Acrobat
application - not the free reader (yes, it's expensive).
Alternately, a quick google search gave me the following
apparently free links:
http://www.gohtm.com/
http://www.fastpdf.com/

I can't vouch for their veracity however (I use Acrobat)
