Saving as VML files

I have a customer who is trying to save Visio documents as VML files. I never
really did this myself, so I'm not 100% sure how you view them. But as of
now, the customer is saying that they are comming up blank when viewing them.
When I tested it myself, I see the same thing.

Is there something in a recent ms patch that may have broken this?

Are you and your client using IE?
If so, what version?
Also, what version Visio?
