Saving as website locks up

I'm working with a highky detailed Visio file that has 30 pages in it, and has many hyperlinks. The problem is when I do a "save as website" the software locks up. I tried all types of options without any luck

Has anyone seen this issue previously? If so, who did you resolve it

Thanks in advance

What version Visio? Also, how large is the file, and how much physical ram
do you have?

Sorry for the lack of info.

I'm using Visio 2003 - Eval. It appears to work OK, and
according to the app, nothing is shut off.

I'm finding that if there are a large amount og
hyperlinks, it comes to a stand still.

The file that I'm using is 1.5MB. I have 1GB of ram
Pentium-4 2.0GHz

I'm not running any other apps, with the exception of the
typical background stuff.

Thanks!

I'm using the VML output. I'm only using the Goto Page
option, nothing else.

Thanks!

1 gig ram *should* be enough. Based on your responses, right now I'm
stymied.

I'll think on it more...

Roughly how many shapes are there on each page? What's the maximum number of
shapes on a page?

Try saving a page as a EMF and see how long that takes. Thanks.

Andy,

I have 35 object on the first page, which it appears to
lock up. I left it running the other day, just to see
what it would do. It took 24 hours for Visio 2003 to save
this as a website. The CPU was running at 100% for the
entire time.

I tried saving as an EMF (Enhanced Metafile) without any
problems.

I have a 2.0GHz processor with 1GB and RAM. I would think
that would be more than enough to save a document such as
this to a website format.

Thanks!

Sorry to take so long to respond...

It definitely shouldn't be taking 24 hours to complete. What kinds of shapes
are in your file (ie What masters are they from, or are they custom shapes)?
