Saving Calendars To A File

D

Don Woeltje

I have end users telling me that they used to be able to save thier calendars to a file (using File -> Save As) but that now they can't do it any more; that the Save As is greyed out. I've looked at it and it is true that when the Calendar folder in Outlook is highlighted, the Save As is greyed out. But if you select an item in the calendar, then the Save As is available (so that you can save the item to an .rtf file). You can also Export the calendar to a .pst file. But I can't find any way to highlight the Calendar and then do a File -> Save As.

Does anyone know if doing a File -> Save As to save a calendar to a file is possible and if it is, what things might we look at to find out what's causing our users to not be able to do it and then fix it for them.

Please reply via email.

What you describe is normal behavior. You can use File | Save As Web Page to save a whole folder, but Save As is reserved for single items.
