I use Excel 2001 on a Mac, and I have a large Excel addin containing
multiple classes and modules. I frequently modify these, but whenever I
save the addin from the VBE window after a change, no matter how minor,
the modified addin can never again be opened without crashing Excel.
The only way I can successfully introduce changes is to keep a workbook
that generates the addin. If I modify the workbook, then save it as an
addin from Excel (not from VBE), that addin is okay.
Three questions: 1) Do others have similar problems with modified
addins saved from VBE in Excel 2001? 2) Does anyone know what causes
this? 3) Has the problem been fixed in Office 2004 for MacOs X? (Or is
it a "feature", and if so, why?)
Thanks for any answers or suggestions.
