Saving changes to Word Docs

Probably very basic, but I need help. Got new laptop. Have lots of word
docs on PC,both systems have Vista & Home Office 2007. When on laptop using
home network & editing docs previously created on pc, I cannot save changes.
Error msg says "read only doc". Help screen gives some options, ie, "hit
Office button" but I don't see that button. It tells me to change the name
of the doc but it won't let me do that. Please help. Thanks,

Sounds like your network doesn't have the permissions set correctly.
Perhaps you can ask in the Vista group about setting up the user
accounts to share files.
