Saving Custom Headers to Gallery

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) In the Windows version of Word you can save a custom header to the gallery so that it is available for quick and easy insertion into documents. It does not appear that this feature is available in the Mac version. Has anyone figured out how to do this?

Yeah, but you have to do it in the Windows version. You need to update the
Document Parts.dotx file.

It doesn't work very well: you have to pull the Word Application Package
apart to get at the file, and unless you're very careful, you end up with an
Application that won't run...

Better to save your custom header as an AutoText (the old way of doing
this...)

Hopefully, Document Parts will work in the next version, Mac Office 2011.

Hope this helps
