Saving document to 2000 Server from XP

I am getting a document open message when trying to
resave a document to a 2000 Server, from Office 2000, on
a XP Pro PC. The document is opened from a share on the
server, and when trying to resave it I get a file in use
error and have to save under a new name. If i move my
documents local to the C drive, the error does not
occur. I have full access to the share, nothing strange
about the naming of the document, it occurs with std dos
naming rules. This has occured on 2 seperate networks.
In both cases the configuration is the same. We have
something similar occuring with Frontpage 2000, but not
sure if it is the same or a completely different problem.
XP Pro is SR1
2000 Server is sp4
office 2000 not sure SR
Oh yes, this ONLY occurs from an XPPro PC, not sure about
XP home because we do not use it in our environment.
