Saving documents directly to the Project Workspace document librar

Is there any way a user can create a document (eg. word doc) and save it
directly to the document library in a project workspace? Or do they have to
save it locally first and then upload it?

Are there any workarounds to this?

Peter,

If you navigate to the shared documents library and then click the "new
document" button, a new document will be created. It will be saved to the
shared documents directly once you click the save button in the
applications.

Hope this helps...

Yes, you can use File Save As, and browse to your network places. If you
don't have the site in your network places, you must enter it manually. All
of your Office applications will allow this, however other applications may
not be able to browse web folders. For instance, Adobe distiller won't
distill to a web folder, only local folders or standard shares.

Just another question, can you explain how I browse to the Shared Documents
of a specific Project Workspace? When I select Save As, and choose My
Network Places in the 'Save in' box, there are a number of 'Shared Documents
on....' locations but how do I know which is the correct one?

Thanks
Peter

You have to give each Network Place a distinctive name when you create it,
or in the case of those that are created blindly, use "Properties" to change
the displayed title.

HTH ...!
