Saving email as text splits long lines

In Outlook 2007, when I save an email to a text file, long lines are split
into multiple lines. Outlook Express 2003 never did this.

Is there way to get Outlook 2007 to not split long lines when saving as a
text file?

I thought I had a solution, but in my case it doesn't seem to work.

When you view the mail, if you right click, you'll see a View Source menu
option. When choose View Source, the content is is viewed in notepad. However
in my case, the menu was grayed out presumably because the mail content is
already straight text.

Is there a way to get View Source to work in all cases?

I've worked out 2 work-a-rounds depending which is the least work.

1. Once you save the text, edit the file with a text editor and join the
split lines.
2. Ctl+A and Ctl+C the mail then open a text editor and Ctl+V then save the
file
