saving file font

A Manuel

When trying to save an XSL stylesheet it automatically
saves the file name in capitals or at least the first
letter in capitals.

I am tryimng to save a file opened in Notepad as "config"
and the system keeps saving it as "Config" or "CONFIG"
even when a retype the file name under save as. It says it
already exists do you want to replace when I hit yes it
saves as upper case.

The application the file needs to run in requires the file
to be all in lower case.

Please help is it a setting?/

I am running windows XP 2000

Hi A.,

Are you running Windows XP or Windows 2000 (you listed both)?
You may want to check with the folks in the Windows newsgroups
on news://msnews.microsoft.com for settings that may be affecting
this. I'm not having a problem saving files with all lowercase
names or viewing the name that way in Windows explorer.
For Windows, if you save LOWERCASE.TXT, Lowercase.txt and
lowercase.txt it will recognize all as the same file,
not 3 separate ones.

When trying to save an XSL stylesheet it automatically
saves the file name in capitals or at least the first
letter in capitals.

Thanks for replying. I am running Windows XP professional
version 2002 Service Pack 1.

Saving a text file from Notepad in lowercase as your
indicated I can do but its when I am trying to save a XSL
stylesheet ( not excel btw) when using NotePad it wont let
me save it in lowercase as it windss up LOWERCASE.xsl or
Lowercase.xsl even if I type in lowercase xsl

Hope you have some additional help. I will also try that
link you have suggested. Microsoft has said they dont
belive its a Bug, documentation issue or installation
issue but pay $35-00 and then we will try and solve it.

Regards

A
