Saving File Name in Footer

My users want to have the file name of their document
that is based on a template written into the footer
whenever they save the document. However, I can't find
the document event for saving the document. They don't
want me to use the field because when the document first
opens it says "Document1" or some other default name and
they don't want that to appear. How can I make the file
name appear after the document has been saved?

Hi David,

You can use a nested field in the footer with an IF field, like the
following:

{ IF { DOCPROPERTY "LastSavedTime"} = "" "" { FILENAME } }
