Saving files

I'm not sure if this is an Office problem or a Windows problem. When I go to
save a file and the dialogue box appears for me to save the file in a
particular folder, as I navigate through the folders I have to make sure
that the cursor is nowhere near any file name in the folders otherwise the
file name I want to save changes to the file name where the cursor happens
to land in the folder's list. Is there anyway to stop this from happening as
I either have to retype the file name or close the Save As dialogue box and
start again?
Thanks
Tony

It is likely caused be having your Operating system pointer set to
"Point to select", Open "Folder Options" in Control Panel, and change
the "Click items as follows" setting to require "Double click to open,
single click select"
