Saving Formatting

I have office 2000 Pro. When I try to save the formatting
that I have done to a Word document that I have created,
the format disappears. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the Office program and it still does the
same thing. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this
problem? Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can
give.

In the File Open dialog, change the "Files of type" setting from "Recover
Text from Any File" to "All Word Documents." If that's not the issue (though
it most likely is), check the View tab of Tools | Options to make sure you
don't have "Draft font" enabled.
