Saving Hyperlinks in PowerPoint

I have added several hyperlinks to my document (slide to
slide hyperlinks). While the presentation is open all of
the links work during the presentation. However, if I
close the document and re-open it none of the hyperlinks
seem to work (*Note: 'Tool Tip' error message is
displayed.) Does anyone know what is causing this? Is
there a way around it?

Thanks for the note, unfortunately I think I may be using
a different version of PP than you (I am on PP 97). When
I go to tools / options / general / I dont have the option
to change the 'save' setting. Do you have any other
possible solutions.

What specific error message is displayed and when?

How many links are in the presentation, approximately?
