Recently moved from a MacBook w/10.4.11 to an iMac w/10.5.5 and started getting a random SWOD (Spinning Wheel of Death!) in Excel when saving. Force quit doesn't work, I have to Restart. Updated to 10.5.6 (crash log is from before the OS update) but same deal. Is Office X not compatible with Leopard?

I test my apps using Office X in Leopard with no problems.

However, random crashes are difficult to diagnose.

Couple of questions:

Are all the crashes on saves to the local drive?

Does this happen with a new Mac OS X account?

How did you "move" Office? Using the Apple Migration Tool is a frequent
source of problems, as preferences/hidden files may not get transferred
correctly.
