How do I save individual custom colors that my company uses for PowerPoints -
I DON'T want a theme, i just want to save my colors to add where I want to
use them.

Hi Julie,

Commonly this is done by using a sample slide with the various corporate
logos, shapes, styles, fonts, and colors to be used as part of the company
branding.

This slide is often inserted or used in the building process and is normally
hidden (or later deleted).

I keep a list of the RGB settings - and yes, I wish PowerPoint had an
eyedropper!

Bill, I tried inserting a slide that contains examples of my corp. RGB
colors, but they do not appear when updating charts and other images as a
color option when selecting to fill an image w/ color for example.... ?

Charts are based on the colors in your template. But you said you don't want
to apply the colors to the template/theme, so....

Maybe http://www.echosvoice.com/colorschemes.htm will help you understand
what's going on. I haven't updated the 2007 page, but it's the same
principle.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I'm not creating each chart from excel
myself - often times I am receiving charts from others and dropping them in
or having to request original excel files to fix the colors. It's a
collaborative effort here and it would be great if I could just click on my
corp color from the color chart rather than having to type in the RGB numbers
hundred's of times per day. Does this make sense?

Well, if you'd create a theme, you could do that. You'd open the chart in
Excel (when you have the original file), apply your theme, and then paste it
into PPT. Because PPT would use the same theme, you'd be good to go.

(Basically what you are asking is not what you asked.)

Themes (this is in Office 2007) are ... oh, heck, just check this article I
wrote for Eli Journals a little while back:
