saving internet documents to an OLK folder...

I am running MS Outlook 2000 on a MS 2000 professional computer. In the
past, when I opened an attachement and then saved the attachement, the
default was in a folder within the temporary internet files(i.e. OLK###)
This past week I saved a new attachment not in the same folder but on the
desktop. Afterwards, I have tried to save any new attachments to the
previous OLK### folder. However I am unable to find the OLK### folder under
the search program, my local c: drive. However when I browse the search
program. I am able to see the OLK### folder. But I am unable to see the
folder through My Computer filtering down to the temporary internet file
folder. When I do save in the temporary internet file folder a new OLK
folder appears and becomes the new default. How do I change the default back
to to my original OLK###. I have not cleared my temporary internet file
folder.

Temporary Internet Files is a special folder and is not searchable.

The place Outlook stores its temporary attachments (which you should NOT be
using as a place to save attachments) is located in the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security\OutlookSecureTempFolder.
You can change that registry key to point to the original folder of to any
folder you wish, including My Documents.
