saving mail to folder without rename files with same name

I have to save a number of emails to a folder. Some have the same name. I
want to save the files of the same name with a auto number instead of having
to skip and rename in order to save it without overwriting the previously
saved email.

ie: re: foggy dog re: foggy dog(1) sort of thing. Is this possible?
if so, how might I accomplish it?
