oliver,
Create a rule to "move" a copy of the message to a folder that you create in
Outlook. First you will need to create a folder, in the folder tree under
personal folders. If you create the folder under the personal folder that
has your other AOL IMAP Mail folders (inbox, sent items, drafts.....), the
new folder should be created also on the AOL webmail interface as a personal
folder.
In Outlook2003 the rule will be as follows, a similar rule can be created in
other versions of Outlook.
In OULTLOOK> TOOLS> Rules and Alerts> Select New Rule> Under "Apply Changes
to folder"> Select your AOL acct> Select a Blank Rule. And the rule should
read like this:
Apply this rule after I send message
through the AOL Mail acct (select acct from list).
Move a copy of message to "Newly Created AOL Sent Items" folder
Stop Processing More Rules.
After you create the folder and the rule, you can manually apply this rule
to the AOL IMAP Sent Items folder in Outlook, and move a copy of current
messages from the AOL Sent Items to the new folder that you created. You
will need to do this if you use the webmail interface of AOL Mail, and want
the message to be retained longer than 30 days. Or drag the message in the
"New" Sent Items folder.
If you choose to create a folder under the AOL IMAP folder, be cautious not
to exceed your AOL Mailbox capacity. You might want to create the folder
under your profile main personal folder.
