Saving new details on custom form

Hello
Can anyone tell me why any changes made to my custom contact form is not
saved when it is closed. This applies to tick boxes and text. I am using
Outlook 2003

When you close and save an item, Outlook saves the values of properties set
for the Outlook item. It does not save any changes in the form's user
interface.

In order to make a change in an item property, each form control needs to be
bound to an Outlook property, built-in or custom. You can perform this
binding on the top of the Value tab of the control's Properties dialog by
choosing the field to be associated with the control.
