When I save a file to a server drive, it takes about a
minute to save the file. I am using W2k and Office 97.
There are way too many variables implied in the above post. Such as, size of
file, speed of processor, NIC, network backbone itself, other demands on the
network, configuration of the server, and many more. IMHO your best bet would
be to contact your network administrator ask him if the delay you are
experiencing is typical.
