Greetings:
My company uses a shared excel workbook to record the status of our projects on a daily basis. We recently converted from Windows/Office to Mac/Office.
We're having problems with this scenario:
Colleagues A & B have the document (workbook) open.
A saves a change. (makes a change and then hits "save")
Then B saves a change.
Under Windows/Office, when B saved, a message would pop up alerting B that other users had also made changes, and the saved document would display both A's and B's changes.
Under Mac/Office, when B attempts to save, he is not allowed to save, and a message pops up saying "document not saved." B must close the document, re-open, and re-insert his change in order to save it.
In other words, multiple users cannot have the document open and save.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
