saving ppt files with inserted images

When I make powerpoint presentations with images files that I have inserted
with "Insert - Picture - From File" and then try to save the presentation on
another disk or drive, the images do not show up in the new copy. This seems
to be because the files are somehow linked instead of embedded. Is there a
way to make sure the image files are always embedded when inserted with
"Insert - Picture - From File"? I'm sick of using "Package for CD" to get
around this. Older versions of Powerpoint never worked this way.

Since you're using PPT 2003 (assuming so, since you have Package for CD), go
to Help|Check for Updates and install the latest SP for Office 2003. This
should resolve the "missing picutres" issues.

There are ways of verifying this but first, is your copy of PowerPoint up
to
date? If you have 2003, especially, you should choose Help, Check for
Updates
and let MS update your copy of PPT.

You must be on a 10 minutes time lag! <VBG>
