Saving Replies in same folder

I have a number of rules that sort incoming mail in to my clients email
folders. Once I open the emails and send a response I want to be able to keep
the response in the same folder rather than the Sent file. Is there a way to
do this?

Tools > Options > E-mail Options > Advanced E-mail Options > In folders
other than the inbox, save replies with original message

Outlook can save only replies the way Kathleen has described. And with the
Add-in "VBOffice SAM" you can also save new emails to your client's email
