saving rpoblem

hi,
a have a huge worksheet with cells ranging from A1 to AF8500. When I use
validation list in empty cells (60%), the workbook just doesn't want to save.
If i use a smaller range, saving works.

Any ideas what could i do (beside having 100 new workbooks)?
