Saving - stop auto sort by start date

Maria Maz

Hello,

Eveytime I save my project, it automatically sorts my tasks (under each
heading) by start date. I don't want my tasks automatically rearanged by
start date. I need the tasks to stay in the order I list them in, regardless
of start date.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Maria

This is not nrmal behavior. It appears you may have a macro running "on
save" that is causing this issue. Tools/Marcos/Macro... Do you see
anything there?

Does this happen with all projects or just one?

Hi Jim...thanks for your quick response.

The only macros that are listed are:
Format_Duration
ResMgmt_TaskEntry
Rollup_Formatting
Toggle_Read_Only
Update_File

I don't initiate any macros in my project. Wouldn't I have to actually run
it to actually apply the macro? I only use macros in Excel.

This is the first and only project I have active, but I think an existing
project was used as a template.

Try Project/Sort/Sort By.../Change the Sort by to read ID (which is the
default).

Sorry, Jim. On seeing my post it sounds condescending and I didn't mean
that! What I was trying to say was that none of us can pick up all of the
answers all the time. We often miss the alternatives, and I'm as bad as the
next :)
