Saving templates

Hello,

I have an old Word 2003 DOT file and it contains some macros. I made changes
to this file, then saved it as a new file. Then, after I opened this new
file, the macros are gone. Any ideas on this any why my macros disappear
after saving the template? I am using Office 2007 SP2.

This was because when I opened the template it opened as document1. I had to
open the template directly from Word to actually open the template and make
the changes.
