Saving templates

Helen

I use a template for an email newsletter that I downloaded from microsoft.
Each time I send out another issue it overwrites my previous editions even
though I have saved the document as a document and as another name. Does
anyone know why I'm having this problem? Thank you for your help.

Which application? What version? How are you using the template? Are you
downloading it each time?

I'm confused. Is the overwriting happening when you save the file, or when
you send it via email?

What application are you working in? What template (a link would be nice)
are you working with?

What are you naming the files?

For instance I saved the first issue as employeenews070108.doc The following
week i open it and do a save as employeenews070708.doc and make my changes.
if I reopen employeenews070108.doc it is the employeenews070708.doc ----i
know it is bizarre and i can't figure out why it is doing this. It is a word
03 template.

If you open employeenews070708.doc what does it contain?

I'm using Microsoft Word 2003 - if i open a previous version it is whatever
the last version i have is. It changes each one even though they are all
named different names.
