Saving the Autorecovery file is postponed for Normal.dot & Normal.dot already exist warning.

Have an automated process running with word and get the following warnings
with word.

1. "The file Normal.dot already exists. Do you want to replace the existing
file?"

2. "Saving the AutoRecovery file is postponed for Normal.dot."

Get a back log of Word windows appearing waiting to be actioned with a
No/Yes/Cancel box appearing when exciting the word windows with the message
along the lines of "..Do you want to replace the Normal.dot file.."

How can I overcome this problem with word so it does not overwhelme the
system the automated process is running on and transactions are been halted
as a result.
