saving the .doc formatting

Is there a way that i can save a .doc and no matter which
computer I open it in the formatting remains the same. In
other words I want the formatting of the document to be
able to override any formatting on another computer so it
presents exactly as i intend it to be presented.
thanks

If the other computer has the same printer driver you'll have better
results. Word takes layout information from these drivers.

If there is not any intention to further edit the document, then you might
opt for a fixed-page format like Adobe PDF.

You could covert it to an Adobe Acrobat *.pdf file format.
