I have DVD-R and and CD-R, am I wrong in my understanding that I should be able to save a Powerpoint presentation to either. If I'm not wrong how do I do it? I put the disc in, Itunes pops up, I exit then enter the PP on my Mac and can't figure out how to save it to the disc. Please help! Project due tomorrow night. I'm using a brand new Mac OSx system not sure about the rest of the information that you requested above.

I'm not a mac user - but I imagine.... that you cannot save directly to a
blank CD-R or DVD-R (under normal circumstances)

You cannot treat them like a floppy disk.

Normally you save the powerpoint file to your computer as normal.

You then locate the 'cd writing/burning/toasting/' software on your mac.
You start the software up
You tell it where you powerpoint file is
You then tell it to write/burn/toast the file to your blank CD/DVD

There are several ways you can get it done, but "Saving" directly to a CD or
DVD isn't one of them:) Go into the Finder & select the Help menu, type the
phrase: burn cd, then follow your nose.
