Saving to Web Folder/SharePoint Site

Hi there, I am having troubles with OneNote saving to a web folder/private
site. Here is the deal:

I use the UNC path to the web folder to map a drive (did this to My
Documents and all other Office programs work like a champ) to my SharePoint
MySite Personal Documents list.

When I go to change the Save location of OneNote to my Z:\ (the one that is
mapped through the Web Client) it returns this error:
Please enter a valid location.

Okay, so I try to go straight to the Web Folder and it says, you cannot use
an Internet Address here. Enter a path that points to a location...bla bla
bla

I would figure that if all the other Office Programs can save/open/etc. to a
mapped drive or web folder, OneNote should too. Can someone help make this
feature available? I am on SP1 Preview.

Thanks,
Derek

It's a little counter-intuitive, but what you want to do is bring up the
"Sharing" task pane. (File--> Share with others is one way to do it.) At the
bottom of the task pane is an area labeled "Share this section". Try using
the Browse and Move To... button there and see if it will then let you
access your SharePoint site.

Post back and let us know how it goes....

Hi Kathy, thanks for the message. That does work, and works pretty good,
however, it forces me to open those up individually each time. What I would
really like to do, if someone can suggest that to the MS engineers, is to
have the SharePoint site actually be the location of my Notebook so that I
don't have to deal with shortcuts, configuration each time, etc.

It just seems silly to me to allow every other MS Office App to do that
except OneNote! :) I love this program a ton, but that is something that
should be included!

Thanks a bunch!
