Saving Trouble

Every time I try to save one very important document I get the
following message:
"The disk is full trying to write to 'Macintosh HD.' Free some space
on this drive, or save the document on another disk. Try one or more
of the following:
* Close any unneeded documents, programs, and windows.
* Save this document on another disk."

I have followed this message's advice and I still cannot save the
document. I have closed all windows and have tried to save the
document to another disk. It would not save on another disk either and
when I tried the same error popped up again.

This document is not a big one (less than 10 pages), but it does
include Microsoft Equations. I remember having this problem last time
when I used Microsoft Equations and I fixed it by closing an external
drive that I had form downloading something. But now I have no drives
to eject and I still have this problem.

What can I do?

Try creating a new blank document.

Then carefully copy all except the last paragraph and paste it into the new
document.

Save that an it should bring it right.

I suspect the document contains a pointer to the disconnected drive. Word
is saying it can't save this file without checking with the disconnected
drive, but it can't do that because it's not there :)

Cheers
