Saving Visio files as HTML

A

Andrew

I have two different Visio files saved as HTML files.
When I link the two files using -> insert -> hyperlink
through Visio, the first file will open in Internet
Explorer but the link does not work.

For example, I have a map of the United States saved in
Visio and I save it as an HTML file. I also have a map
of Ohio that is also saved in a Visio file and saved as
an HTML file. I have inserted a hyperlink for Ohio on
the United States Visio. In the HTML document of the US,
when I click on "Ohio" I would like a map of Ohio to
appear.

I have modified the behaviors of the 'states' in
the 'United States map' so that when I double click them
in Visio, the individual hyperlinked 'maps' will appear
in Internet Explorer. This works. However, when I save
the updated 'United States map' as an HTML file, the
links to the individuals 'states' bring up a "page cannot
be displayed" page.

Could someone please help me out?
Thanks for your time!
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

These hyperlinks from Visio drawing A to Visio drawing B will work when you
save the drawings as web pages -- as long as you know what you are going to
name drawing B when you save the drawing as a webpage, and use that name in
the respective hyperlink, this should work fine.
