saving web selections to clipboard

T

tathagata

Sometimes when I select and copy a phrase from a web site (by using
Control-C or by clicking on the copy icon), it will be saved on the
clipboard, and, for some unknown reason, at other times, it will not be
saved on the clipboard. (Please note that I am always sure that the
clipboard is open in the Word document to which I intend to paste the copied
item.) Can anyone tell me why this happens and/or how to ensure that the
copied item from the web site will be saved on the clipboard when I return
to the Word document. If my question is not clear, please let me know.
Thank you for your help.

Have you tried using the drag & drop method for the web selections onto
the word file..or right clicking & saving the web image & then
inserting...also if you copy & paste an object onto a word file it should
stay in the clipboard & when you close word down it should say something
like...
"There are objects or images still left in the clipboard, would you like
to save those items to the clipboard for use later on.." & you either say
yes or no..and then the program closes.

Hope this helps some.
