Saving when exiting

I created a memo today using one of the templates that comes with Word
97. I have wrote the memo and saved it with the filename I wanted.
Any time I attempt to close the document after making a change I am
being asked if I want to save changes. This happens even if I use the
disk icon to save the changes immediately before I try to exit. It's
as if the save warning isn't recognizing that I used the disk save
icon.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Likely, there are macros running behind the scenes that are changing
something in the doc before Word exits.

Try this.

1. Save the doc.
2. Close the doc. If the problem occurs here, then a macro is changing the
doc when you close.
3. exit Word. . If the problem occurs here, then a macro is changing the doc
when you exit.
