Saving word 2007 as another format

If I create a document in word 2007 (with pictures) and I want to send it to
someone who has an older version of word, how do I do this without it
altering my document. I noticed that if I save the document as word 97-2003
it does not appear the same, my pictures become modified. I also tried saving
it as pdf but it still does not look the same.

It is possible for someone with an older version of MSWord to download
patches to make your document readable. I have had this happen. When opening
the attached document, a prompt opened sending me to the MS download site. It
has worked fine ever since.

Since this is a FrontPage newsgroup, you should ask the experts in the
office/word newsgroups.

Just choose the format you want in the "Save As" dialog.....but this is the
wrong group......

You might ask a Word 2007 (or Office 2007) group for more in-depth advice.

You can save as a earlier version format (e.g. versions of Word from Word 97
to Word 2003).

The person with the earlier version can also download converters from
Microsoft which will open a Word 2007 file by converting it to their
version. Same goes for the other Office 2007 apps (Excel, PowerPoint
Access)
